PARTS RETURN POLICY



SALES ARE FINAL

All parts sales are final. In the event you order a part from us and the part is not as ordered, pictured, or as described we will authorize a return for such item(s). Buyer will be responsible for shipping costs to return item(s) to our parts distribution center or shipping agent as directed. For any authorized return we receive we will replace the item with a correct item as originally ordered, or we will refund the full purchase price including original shipping charge, at our option. All return items must be returned in their original unused / uninstalled condition, resalable with all accompanying packaging and paperwork. Items returned that are deemed un-resalable or devalued in any significant way by the handling or attempted installation after original shipment will be returned to the customer. In order to receive these parts back the shipping must be prepaid, and we reserve the right to hold these items until such time as we receive funds to pay for the return shipment. After 90 days any held parts may be discarded or otherwise disposed at our option.


PREAPPROVAL REQUIRED

All return items are subject to pre-approval which is obtained by emailing to the link contained at the bottom of this page. Return items sent to us without pre-approval as described above may be refused and will be sent back to you by your shipping carrier. If we inadvertently accepted the unauthorized return item the items may be sent back to you in another shipment. We may contact you to attempt to establish an authorization for the return. In the event you do not respond or we cannot authorize the return, we will hold the item(s) until such time as we receive funds to pay for the return shipment to send the unauthorized item(s) back to you.


CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY

The customer is strictly and solely responsible for selecting and ordering the correct parts for their application, regardless of any advice that may be received from our website, recommended links, videos, or email communications. We do not accept returns for items that were ordered and correctly shipped according to the order that was placed. If the item you received is the exact item you ordered there is no return allowed for such item(s). Even if you ordered a part recommended by our free troubleshooting advice and that part does not repair your HVAC unit, or does not work in your application, we are not responsible and will not authorize a return in that case. Given the diverse conditions and the number of variables involved in repairing HVAC systems, it is possible that a non professional person can order the wrong part. Even professional people often order the wrong parts. Many parts are universal replacement items that fit many brands and models and require various minor field adaptations to install them. Sometimes parts are substantially marred attempting to install them before it can be realized that the item cannot or does not work in the given application. We are not responsible for matching any particular component to any particular specific application. Our recommendations are merely a probability scenario of what part(s) you may require and not a guaranteed repair guideline. There is risk for the customer in that the part recommended and/or purchased may not actually be replacing a defective component, or that the part purchased may be the wrong part for the application. Any such risk is borne entirely by the customer. Our advice is complimentary and we do not make any guarantee or warrantee regarding the information we provide.


DAMAGED ITEMS

We do not authorize returns for parts that were damaged during shipping. We do not control the handling of the item(s) once they are released to the shipping company. In the event you receive a damaged item please contact the shipping company immediately and then EMAIL US so that we can help resolve the damage issue. If you desire shipping insurance please select the insurance option at the bottom of the parts purchasing page when placing your order. Standard shipping as provided in the price specified does not include insurance. On certain special order or expensive in-stock items we may require additional insurance be purchased before item(s) can be shipped.


DESCRETIONARY RETURNS

In the event you order a part and later determine that you do not want or need that part, and the part is completely unused, unopened, uninstalled, and still in original resalable condition, you may inquire with us about a return for such item(s). If we decide to accept the return an authorization will be given and a 50% restocking fee will apply. The customer will be responsible for return shipping charges to return the item(s) to our parts distribution center or shipping agent as directed. Return items that are received back in damaged condition from shipping will be returned to the customer. In order to receive these damaged parts back the return shipping must be prepaid, and we reserve the right to hold these items until such time as we receive funds to pay for the return shipment. We strongly recommend purchasing insurance for all discretionary return items. There are absolutely no returns on special order items, unboxed or opened electrical items, fuses, air filters, and clearance items. All special order items must be prepaid, and no refunds will be made for non-received special order items within the first 45 days. If after 45 days the special order item(s) has not been received the order may be cancelled and a full refund including shipping charges will be given. Customer agrees to decline receiving the shipment of any cancelled order in the event the order inadvertently still processes after the cancellation, and if the cancelled order is accepted the customer agrees to pay return shipping for any such order actually received. Customer will be responsible for full cost of item(s) and original shipping in the event such items are not returned to us.


RELEASE OF LIABILITY

By ordering parts on our website you agree to hold CentralAirPArts.com and Heating & Air Distributors LLC harmless against the use of any item(s) purchased. While great care has been taken in providing video support, email support, and paper instructions to assist you in properly and safely installing your new parts, in the event injury occurs by any party acting upon the information found on our website or received by other direct communication it is agreed that all such risks of injury or harm are solely assumed by the individual. You further agree to hold CentralAirParts.com and Heating & Air Distributors LLC harmless against all consequential or incidental damages or injuries incurred while or after performing repairs using parts, tools, or instructional advice received from us. You agree to assume full and total responsibility for acting upon any information you receive from us.


SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

We provide detailed installation instructions with each replacement component we sell. These instructions specifically describe safety provisions that must be followed in order to ensure your safety when working on your air conditioner. The most important safety requirement is to verify that the electrical power source is disconnected before you make any repairs. Most air conditioners have an electrical disconnect device near the air conditioner unit. Even when using this disconnect device it is still possible for electrical current to be present. The electrical status must be checked using an electrical test meter before repairs are made. This testing procedure is described in the instructions provided with your parts order. Additionally we recommend the use of rubber insulating gloves and safety glasses. If you are working on a rooftop air conditioner we recommend using an appropriate ladder and shoes that provide sufficient traction on the roof surface. An economically priced electrical test meter is available for purchase on our website, and is an accessory tool recommended with most purchases. Customer assumes all risk for failing to comply with basic safety recommendations, including checking electrical status before proceeding with any repair.

You agree to hold us completely harmless whereas our liability or responsibility to any party shall in no case extend beyond or above the amount actually paid for each item(s).

All sales are contingent upon actual parts availabilty. Regardlesss of any prices listed, all pricing is subject to change, including shipping and insurance, in the event our actual cost changes before pricing can be corrected on the website. WARRANTY RETURN POLICY



DEFINITION OF WARRANTY

In the event you order a part from us and the part was correctly installed, used in the correct application, was completely undamaged when received, and said part fails within the specified warranty period we will authorize a warranty return for that item. All returns, including warranty returns are subject to pre-approval which is obtained by emailing to the link contained at the bottom of this page. Warranty return items sent to us without pre-approval may be refused and will be sent back to you by your shipping carrier. If we inadvertently accepted the unauthorized warranty return item the items may be sent back to you in another shipment. We may contact you to attempt to establish an authorization for the warranty return. In the event you do not respond or we cannot authorize the return, we will hold the item(s) until such time as we receive funds to pay for the return shipment to send the unauthorized item(s) back to you.


WARRANTY LIMITATION

Warranty is limited to (1) only like-for-like exchange item per component purchased. We may elect to replace the item or to issue a pro-rated refund on certain items, or a complete refund including original shipping cost, at our option. There is no new, continued, or recurring warranty on any warranty replacement item(s). We will pay the shipping cost to send the warranty replacement item. Customer will pay the shipping cost to send authorized warranty return items to our distribution center or agent, as directed. There is no warranty on clearance items or any other items that specify no-warranty when purchased. All clearance items are sold as-is, where-is with no warranty or guarantee of any kind. Warranty returns on special order items may be subject to manufacturer approval. Warranty replacement parts will be sent by UPS Ground® and may take up to 30 days total processing time before you receive your replacement parts. Warranty is limited to item(s) purchased and does not extend to any other component(s) in your system. We are not responsible for consequential or incidental damages or injuries to people or other components in your air conditioning system arising from the use of parts, tools, or advice obtained or purchased on our website.


WARRANTY TERM

Regardless of any manufacturer's warranty stating otherwise, the following terms are applicable to all parts sales. Our parts warranty obligation to any customer is limited to the following herein described terms: Warranty begins immediately upon receipt of item(s) for all non-electrical components. Warranty begins 7 days after receipt of item for all electrical type items. It is assumed that warranty claims made during the initial 7 day period are not legitimate claims, but rather are generally the result of damage, improper installation, or incorrect application. Warranty does not cover damage, improper installation, or incorrect application of purchased components. Warranty claims must be made within the specified period. A warranty claim is considered timely if either a faxed or emailed return authorization request, notification, or inquiry is received by 11:59 PM MST of the final day of warranty coverage. Any written warranty authorization request, notification, or inquiry sent by regular mail must be post-marked no later than the business day following the last day of warranty coverage.

Many of the items purchased from our website may come with accompanying manufacturer's paperwork which specifies a different or longer warranty term. Because many of the items we sell are intended to be installed by a professional, the manufactuer's warranty is void when the items are installed by other than professional personnel. Therefore any manufacturer's warranty is superceeded by the warranty terms herein provided. The alternative complimentary warranty that we provide in lieu of the manufacturer's warranty is an obligation borne entirely by us irrespective to any warranty that would have otherwise been provided by the manufacturer.

We do not authorize warranty returns for item(s) that were connected to the incorrect power supply or that have visible signs of external sparks, pry marks, hammer marks, scuff marks, fire damage, water damage, was dropped or suffered impact, or has the specification tag altered or missing. A legitimate warranty defect is described as a failure not attributable to any known external cause or reason. If a part being used in a correct application, properly installed, properly tested after installation, and being used in normal operating conditions fails within the specified warranty period that is considered a valid warranty defect.
